During our renovation to the office we decided to gut the closet and do a custom built-in with a doggy area on the bottom. We’re moving slow on the built-in, but in the meantime we decided to place a doggy bed inside to test the area out … and the boys LOVE IT! It’s the first place they usually go when entering the office now. They even stay there sleeping a lot of the time, when we leave the room. They really do enjoy being surrounded.

When we decided to add Eddie to the family it was for two reasons. We loved having Bob and thought having another pug would that much more enjoyable. And by that point we had also figured out how much pugs shed … so what the heck, we already had hair everywhere so why not get another?! But we also thought that Bob would love to have a buddy to hang out with. And were we ever right! Bob and Eddie can always be found in two places… anywhere we are and by each others side.
Was digging through the picture archives and found a few Bob puppy pictures, enjoy.
This first pictures is from the first night or so after we brought Bob home. For as calm as he is now, he was one CRAZY puppy … but we loved him like CRAZY too!

This next one is Bob enjoying his time with Doggy (the cat), I still think he misses her.

These next two are of Bob after being home for a month or so, he was already started to calm down some.

Pugs do not do well in the heat. With their short little noses they have a hard time keeping their bodies cool and you have to keep a close eye on them so they do not overheat. Yet as most pug owners know, they want to be with you no matter what even, if that means they are too hot. We bought them their own kiddie pool to cool off so they could enjoy the outside with us a little longer. Bob is not a water lover and will only stay in for a bit if you put him in. Eddie on the other hand will go in by himself and stay in much longer.
We now have discovered that Eddie will stay in forever if you throw in one of his favorite treats … ice cubes. We discovered their ice cube love in the winter had had lots of laughs watching them try to catch them as they slid all over the hardwood floors. Now we get to watch Eddie come up with his mouth dripping as he goes diving for ice cubes. Bob will have none of it. He will wait till he can come inside and eat them on the couch.
Now to introduce Eddie, Bob’s little brother. Also know at times as Eddie McFreddie, Nut Weasel, and The Ed Monster. And a few other names that will not be mentioned here.

As you may be able to tell already, Eddie is our little trouble maker. He is 2 years old and he and Bob share the same Mother but different fathers. Eddies Mother must have gone through a “bad boy” phase when she had Eddie! Eddie is smaller then Bob, yet thinks he is in charge. He always has to have the toys that everyone else has and has been known to end up with a whole pile of them while Bob looks on. And you better not give Bob any affection and not give it to Eddie too … there will be none of that!
But with all his bossy ways Eddie is also the lover. Loves to give kisses and has to be with you and as close as he can get. Loves to curl up on your lap and sleep while you sit in front of the computer. In fact he is sleeping on my lap as I write this. He is more relaxed and will sit and chew on a toy bone for hours.
There is so much more I could say about Eddie but will leave that for another time, as each one could be a book in itself!

I give you Mr. Bob, the best Christmas present my fiance (Debie) could have ever given me! Bob is going on four years old now, my little puppy isn’t so little anymore. He was a little devil Pug in the beginning, but now he wouldn’t even recognize himself, he’s totally calm and easy going; verging on push-over, especially with his brother Eddie. He just wants to be rubbed, held and to play tug-of-war with his ropes.

Yes, you read that correctly, ropes as in plural, more than one rope as he has and has had many. Ropes are by far his farvorite toy and he’s always dragging one to our feet to play with. If he’s not playing with his rope he can usually be found sleeping in one of our multiple dog beds, on the back of the couch, in our bed or on the boys chaise; they’ve claimed the chaise as their own.

Bob is also very afraid of water, hates bath time and runs when the garden hose is pulled out. Not to mention hates the cold stuff, poor guy stands around in the winter snow so long looking for a spot to do his business that his feet freeze on him; but he also won’t wear clothes or boots…
So that’s Mr. Bob in a nutshell … I’m sure I missed a bunch, but thats what this here blog is for and just a note, he isn’t camera shy so expect many, MANY pictures of our lovely boy.
