Going through some older computer equipment I came across the small video recorder Debie gave me as a Christmas gift a few years ago and to my amazement video’s of Bob as a puppy were still on it. Here is the first of three videos of Bob being Bob.

How can you not love that face?

And Good ‘ol Bob … feel asleep sniffing his back side again!

Last fall Eddie developed a rash all over his belly, between the pads on his feet, and in the folds where his legs joined his body. After several trips to the vet and 3 sessions of antibiotics and steroids we were all pretty sure he had a food allergy. We wound up putting him on a special dry food that was specifically made for food allergies. Not cheap at $70.00 a bag, so we kept Bob on his regular food and gave Eddie his new one. The worst part was that while it cleared Eddie up, nobody really knew what he was allergic to, including the vet. The only way to figure it out was to start adding things back in slowly to see what caused a reaction.
So this was how we started out spending a few hours once a week cooking for the boys. After doing research on home cooking for dogs, what their nutritional needs are and what they cannot eat, we stared out with just plain chicken and brown rice. After a few weeks on that and no skin or digestive problems, we added in carrots and then some additional veggies. So far so good with that so the newest add in is egg. The boys love cooking time since the get a whole extra meal of what falls on the floor! Here are some pics of the big production.

We have been dog sitting Onyx the last week. Bob and Eddie have decided that they want his special bed and blanket that he brings with him on his sleep-overs. Onyx is an older dog and does not jump well onto the bed anymore … so the poor guy has been banished to the floor! Well, at least till we kick the boys out of his bed. In truth Bob and Eddie would not mind sharing with him, but Onyx will have none of that!
Bob and Eddie have a new sleeping spot … behind the pillow shams. One each curled up on the stack of pillows behind the shams. Did not even know they were there until I saw four eyes peeking out to see what was going on!
Nothing beats a lazy summer afternoon laying in the sunshine. Especially for Eddie.
Yesterday the boys had a play date with some friends, Piper and Pee-Wee. There is nothing quite like four pugs tearing around the house with lots of panting and snorting going on. And little pug trains of nose to butt was pretty amusing as well. Piper is the little black pug and the only female and the smallest of them all. But she sure can hold her own! She became very excited to find two nylon bones, wanted them both and nobody was going to take them away from her! Eddie finally met his match in little Pee-Wee.
Bob and Eddie are doing a lot of sleeping this time of the year with all the sun and heat. They both have some favorite spots. One of Eddie’s is the back of the couch where he can keep an eye on you and make sure you don’t go anywhere without him. For Bob, it’s all about the lap!
