Summer Fun
Pugs do not do well in the heat. With their short little noses they have a hard time keeping their bodies cool and you have to keep a close eye on them so they do not overheat. Yet as most pug owners know, they want to be with you no matter what even, if that means they are too hot. We bought them their own kiddie pool to cool off so they could enjoy the outside with us a little longer. Bob is not a water lover and will only stay in for a bit if you put him in. Eddie on the other hand will go in by himself and stay in much longer.
We now have discovered that Eddie will stay in forever if you throw in one of his favorite treats … ice cubes. We discovered their ice cube love in the winter had had lots of laughs watching them try to catch them as they slid all over the hardwood floors. Now we get to watch Eddie come up with his mouth dripping as he goes diving for ice cubes. Bob will have none of it. He will wait till he can come inside and eat them on the couch.
